Who are your partner agencies?
Kids Up Front collaborates with a broad network of programs and services that operate within the Edmontn Capital Region’s education, health and community service sectors. Our registered agencies formally agree to select suitable ticket recipients from within their programs, arrange appropriate supervision, and strictly adhere to Kids Up Front policies.
Can I get a charitable tax receipt for my ticket donation?
Yes. If you are the owner of the tickets, you may be issued a charitable tax receipt for the face value of the ticket (GST and convenience exempt). Tickets must be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.
Can I donate tickets for a same day event?
Yes. Kids Up Front requires notice of the donation by 12 noon and the tickets by 2 pm for a same day event. This provides sufficient time for Kids Up Front and the partner agency to select a suitable ticket recipient and coordinate logistics on their behalf. Please note, if you plan to donate a large block of tickets (more than 50), Kids Up Front deeply appreciates having more notice.
Can my tickets be picked up?
Generally, Kids Up Front asks donors to mail, drop-off, or courier tickets to our office. However, if you are unable to get the tickets to us, we will make every effort to come to you.
Can I mail my tickets?
Yes, if there is time.
Who uses my tickets?
Ticket recipients are selected by Kids Up Front registered partner agencies. Tickets MUST go to children and families that are supported by the agency. Quality control measures are in place to ensure that opportunities are broadly distributed to maximize the number of children who ultimately benefit.
Can I direct my tickets to a specific agency?
Yes. Kids Up Front works on behalf of registered partner agencies to facilitate Kids experiences. Please refer to our list of registered partner agencies and indicate which agency you wish to support at the time you make your ticket donation. If your intended recipient does not appear, please contact us.
How do I know my ticket is being used by a child?
Registered agencies agree to strictly abide by Kids Up Front policies. Furthermore, positive feedback received from agency representatives and ticket recipients strongly suggests that the intended children and families are benefitting through the Kids Up Front program.
Who supervises the child?
A suitable adult selected by the agency supervises the child.
What kinds of tickets do you accept?
Any arts, sports, entertainment event tickets or admission passes can be donated. If you can’t use a ticket for an adult oriented event, Kids Up Front will make every effort to ensure your ticket is still used by a suitable adult that fits within Kids Up Front’s giving guidelines, e.g. parent or caregiver of child ticket recipient, young adult, single parent.
How late can I drop off tickets?
Tickets can be dropped off until 4 pm Monday through Friday at the Kids Up Front office UNLESS the event is that day. For same day events, the tickets are required by 2 pm.
Can I donate tickets electronically?
Yes. eTickets can be sent to info@kidsupfrontedmonton.com. Event tickets purchased through Ticketmaster can be donated electronically using the Ticketmaster account manager. If you are a season ticket holder of the Edmonton Eskimos or Edmonton Oilers, you can also donate directly to Kids Up Front using the organization’s account manager.
How much notice is required to donate a ticket?
Generally, Kids Up Front can turn around tickets quickly. However, the more notice we have, the more time we can give our partner agencies to select the most appropriate child and make the necessary arrangements on their behalf.
Do you accept financial contributions?
Yes. Financial gifts are deeply appreciated and support Kids Up Front’s ongoing ability to deliver this one of a kind free service. Kids Up Front does not charge partner agencies to register; nor do ticket donors pay a convenience fee. Edmonton Kids Up Front Foundation is a registered charity (Charitable Registration No. 88212 5008 RR0001) , and complies with Imagine Canada’s Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code.
