What We Do
Mission: Provide access to arts, culture, sports and recreation for Kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity and to make a profound impact on the lives of young people inspiring confidence and self-esteem.
If you have tickets to an event you can’t use, give them to kids who can! The Kids Up Front Foundation (Edmonton) works with child and family serving agencies to give donated tickets to children, youth and families who face financial, social and/or ethnic barriers and other challenging circumstances. Kids who would not otherwise get to have these kinds of positive life experiences.
Your unused tickets will create special life– changing opportunities for these children and families, giving them a place to heal, bond and have fun! Through the Kids Up Front program, we have seen children build confidence and self-esteem, family relationships strengthened and new immigrants integrating, feeling welcome and excited to participate in Canadian culture and society.
It might not seem like much, “One Little Ticket” but it could give a child in difficult circumstances a break from the day to day challenges they might face. It provides “One Big Impact” and an exciting and memorable experience with the chance to just be a kid!
"The kids feel: 'I do fit here, I’m part of society, I’m part of community.' They have something to talk about with peers when they come back from the weekend. It’s about normalizing things for kids."– Agency Representative
